Shamba Greens working farm is nestled in a bucolic rural setting in Laikipia County. We are extremely passionate about our farming standards and practice a whole-alive-systems approach. We deeply care and are devoted to our workers, land and energy conservation, and delivering healthy and delicious food to our customers. Our staff is committed to strengthening ties between the surrounding community and our land through our Community Supported Agriculture program. We are proud to have longstanding partnerships with many of the best markets and restaurants in Kenya.
We have developed a well balanced and market focused product mix. This includes the cultivation, manufacture and marketing of a variety of produce. In addition, we do livestock farming and cultivate horticultural crops. Shamba Greens specializes in tomatoes, soybeans, sorghum, peppers, eggplants, potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, avocados and many varieties of both greens and herbs. Our on-site solar plant supports solar-powered irrigation farming. This supplies solar energy in combination with food production by using the same land. We are addressing Kenya’s need to: Food Security and improving people’s livelihood; and, expanding the use of sustainable agriculture and other global best practices in the sector.
Farm customers can stay informed on farm happenings and periodic a la carte produce and meat sales by signing up for our email notifications. Farm goods are frequently offered for sale in our online farm store for pickup at the farm and our CSA memberships offer further opportunity for connection and reflection on the farm.

VENTURES
Shamba Greens grow over 400 varieties of vegetables. Tomatoes, Soybeans, eggplants, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and greens are our main crops. We also plant crops based on customer requests and demand such as sunflower, avocados, bananas, culinary herbs, okra, broccoli, pumpkins, roots, melon, and husk cherries.
Shamba Greens have entered into partnerships with a couple of produce vendors in Nairobi, Mombasa, Laikipia, Kisumu, Nyeri and Migori counties. We provide vendors with farm produce at competitive prices. We ensure vendors stock up adequate farm produce, so that they can earn money from their product sale.
Shamba Greens team of professionals work with farmers. We advise farmers and provide access to the right information and quality farm inputs. Most important, Shamba Greens offer farmers a guaranteed market for their produce at competitive prices. We ensure farmers earn money from their produce.
